Great-great-grandson of Henry VII via Mary Queen of Scots. Also James VI of Scotland. Believed in divine right of Kings. Failed assassination attempt by Guy Fawkes in Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Ordered Authorised Edition of the Bible. Puritans set sail in the Mayflower in 1620.
