Great-great-great-grandson of Edward III, illegitimately via John of Gaunt. A Lancastrian, married Elizabeth of York, Edward IV's daughter, bringing the War of the Roses to and end. Married his son, Arthur, to Catherine of Aragon, daughter of the King of Spain.
