Son of Henry V. Became king age nine months. Lost France, except Calais, largely due to Joan of Arc, though latter betrayed and executed in Rouen. War of the Roses starts due to other claims to the the throne, with Richard, Duke of York, beaten at battle of Wakefield 1460. Founded Eton in 1440 and King's College Cambridge.
